At West Virginia University
As the climatology lab of land-grant university in West Virginia, we have conducted outreach to the public in the state of West Virginia to inform and educate about climate change and variability through media interviews and extension service. For example, we have coordinated a panel on climate change in the 2017 WV Master Gardener Conference hosted by the WVU Extension Service and educated more than one hundred of WV master gardeners about climate and climate change. We have reached out to the public through interviews with the media for the local (WVU Magazine, WVU TODAY, U92, Daily Athenaeum), regional (The Exponent-Telegram, The Register-Herald), and national (Earth Magazine, Climate Voices) communities.
